The Ins And Outs Of Film School
The game "Film School" is an interactive game. It seems hard to beat at first, but here is a complete walkthrough of the game, telling you exactly where to go and what to do. First, you start out as your character in your dorm room at a film school. Exit your room, and then walk to the elevator. You can use the Tab key on your keyboard to scroll through items or doors that are clickable or useable. Go visit your friend Cal, and then take the small key from behind his chair. It’s located near a pink can – rather hard to see so use the Tab key. Next, talk to Cal, who’s playing a video game. Play it when he offers to let you – you have to make at least 47 kills. This requires quick reflexes.
After you get the camera from beating Cal’s game, go to the lobby via the elevator. Use your key to get a pamphlet from your post office box (you get here by turning right at the elevator after turning around). Then, go outside and make a right, where there’ll be the academic building. Inside the building you’ll want to go upstairs via the elevator and talk to your advisor. Take the mug. Head down to the basement next and talk to Dan a few times. He’ll give in after a few minutes and accept your offer, so then you leave the building.
Go to the church and put some holy water in the mug – you’ll need it in a bit. Also take a rose with you. Use the mug on the Yankees fans, then talk to the crying man in the street – give him your pamphlet. As a film school student, you’ll need money, so drive home and give the rose to your mother to get on her good side, and then give the mug to your father to get said money. Before you leave the house, look in your mailbox to pick up the laser. You’ll meet the bodyguard of the Olsen twins in Manhattan (where your school is). Use it on him and snap a photo of the Olsen twins themselves.
Finally, go back to your dorm floor and into your neighbors’ room – they’ll want the picture of the Olsen twins. Give that to him and take the can of Red Bull. After drinking it, you’ll then go back to your room and write the script for your film.
To finish off the game, you’ll go back to the advisor and give him your film script. The trick is, the game’s actually over at this point and there’s nothing further you can do. You can try to explore various parts of Manhattan or your own town, but there’s really nothing there to do. So you may as well just follow the main storyline – it’s basically like a fetch quest in an RPG. For a Flash game, this is a nice and fun way to pass over a few moments, and the dialogue is rather funny. Make sure you do pay attention to the dialogue so you pick up what the characters want.
